Patient Data privacy

Medical information of our patients is completely confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone else without the permission of the patient. It is common for people, claiming to be relatives of the person undergoing medical treatment, to casually inquire about the patient’s progress with the medical staff. Most often this is done on phone. We are vigilant (careful) to politely decline all such requests, regardless of the circumstances. As per existing legal guidelines, even the spouse of the patient will be refused information in the absence of permission, unless it can be proven that the information is essential to safeguard the life of the person making the inquiry. Practically, such instances are extraordinarily rare.

However, like all other medical institutes, we would need to use technical medical datafor medical research and common benefit of society at large. But, under no circumstances will your personal information/privacy be disclosed/compromised. The benefit you receive thanks to Medical science today is thanks to the data/information from treatment of previous patients. Similarly, your medical data, when used for research, will help someone else in the future. A good deed that goes around MUST come around. And, by your experience being a blessing to someone else with a similar problem, a blessing MUST come back to you in your life. That’s the way it works.
